THE BAND MEMBERS
~Coman Sproles / Guitar & vocals
Been playing music since 1971. Since 1982 he has been playing lead guitar and singer as one of the front men for the 69 Band. He also plays guitar instrumentals and plays in a 3 piece rock n blues band, The Coman Sproles Band.
Recorded 10 CD's with the 69 Band. Recorded a Rock n Bluez cd with the Celtic Bluez Band in the spring of 2011. Recorded acoustic instrumental cd with Vern Cygan in the fall 2011.
Has opened up for the likes of David Allen Coe, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, Eric Burdon, Joe Bonamassa, Foghat, Ted Nugent, Pat Travers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blue Oyster Cult and More!
Most fond memories of traveling the country, living in a bus down by the river. From Damascus Maryland, now resides in Myrtle Beach.
~Vern Cygan / Drums-Percussion & Vocals:
originally from Cleveland, OH Playing Drums for forty-seven years and guitar for thirty-nine years,playing harmonica for ten years, makes Vern a versatile musician.
He is also a vocalist and a solo acoustic performer.Some of the bands Vern has performed with over the years are, Excaliber, Samona Cook and The Groove Pilots, to name a few. Recorded acoustic instrumental cd with Coman Sproles in 2011.
~Bill Palmer/ Bass guitar & Vocals
Playing guitar & bass since he was 11. His first gig was at the local VFW while in the 7th grade.
Played in regional bands in his Virginia and in his hometown of Charlotte NC.
Played in a national band, Dennis Yost and the classic 4. (Salem Square, The Lee Terrace Band, Mortimer’s Destiny, Danny Ray and the Renegades, Shamrock, Double Barrel, The Alley Cats Blues Band)
Has opened for The New Riders of The Sage.
